Rust: how to wipe your server

A wipe gives everyone a fresh start. There are two common types.

Map wipe (new map, players keep blueprints):

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Open Files → /server/rust/ and delete the files that start with proceduralmap (the .map, .sav and related saves).
  3. Start the server — it generates a fresh map.

Full wipe (also clears blueprints): additionally delete the player.blueprints.*.db file before starting. To force a brand-new map, change the World Seed or World Size on the Startup page.

Tip: set a Schedule to automate wipes on your preferred day.
