# Valheim: set your world, server name and password

Valheim is configured from the **Startup** page.

1. Set the **Server Name**, **World** name, and a **Password**.
2. The password must be at least **5 characters** and must not appear inside the server name, or the server won’t start.
3. **Restart**. Your world files are saved under `/.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/worlds_local/`.

Valheim worlds only grow as you explore and build, so back up the world files before big changes and size your plan for the mature map.
