# Palworld: set your server name, password and settings

Palworld settings live in `PalWorldSettings.ini`.

1. **Stop** the server.
2. Open **Files** → `/Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini`.
3. Set values inside the `OptionSettings` line, e.g. `ServerName`, `ServerPassword`, `AdminPassword`, `ServerPlayerMaxNum`, and rate options like `ExpRate` and `PalCaptureRate`.
4. **Start** the server.

If your plan exposes a server name/password on the **Startup** page, you can set those there instead. Remember: Palworld memory grows as players build — size your plan for the mature world.
