# CS2: install plugins with Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp

CS2 plugins run on **Metamod:Source** plus **CounterStrikeSharp** (CSS).

1. Download the latest Linux builds of Metamod:Source and CounterStrikeSharp.
2. Upload both into `/game/csgo/addons/` via the file manager or SFTP.
3. Edit `/game/csgo/gameinfo.gi` and add the Metamod search path line (`Game csgo/addons/metamod`) under *SearchPaths*.
4. **Restart**. In the console you should see Metamod and CSS load.
5. Drop plugin files into `/game/csgo/addons/counterstrikesharp/plugins/` and restart again.

Add plugins one at a time and watch the console for errors so you can spot any that don’t load.
